Welcome back to Inside Delogue - our monthly series where we introduce you to the people shaping the platform behind the scenes.

This month, we sat down with Rasmus Djernæs Nielsen, Chief Product Officer at Delogue, to talk about product philosophy, customer-centric development, and what’s coming next for Delogue PLM.

You can find the entire interview with Rasmus here.

Meet Rasmus Djernæs Nielsen

Rasmus didn’t begin his career in fashion - but his path into tech eventually led him straight to Delogue.

Today, he leads our product vision and ensures Delogue continues to evolve in line with real industry needs.

"Build by the industry, for the industry" - what does it mean?

Delogue is often described as built by the industry, for the industry. For Rasmus, that is far more than a slogan.

“It’s not a slogan. It’s a product philosophy. We build for real people, real workflows, and real value.”

His role is deeply rooted in understanding how brands, designers, and suppliers really work - and then translating that into product logic.

“My job is to translate industry reality into product decisions. We validate everything in real workflows with real users, so we know we’re solving the right problems.”

While the product team isn’t from the fashion industry themselves, Rasmus sees that as an advantage.

“We know our assumptions aren’t what matter - our customers’ processes do. But we bring best-practice patterns from other industries to help solve the same common challenges.”

Staying close to the industry

When it comes to ensuring Delogue keeps solving real everyday challenges, the product team has a very clear approach.

“We work continuously with brands, designers, and suppliers. We don’t want people to just explain their workflow - we want to shadow it so we can see what’s actually happening.” This blend of live user insights, data, and structured feedback loops forms the core of product development at Delogue.

“We base our decisions on live data, not assumptions. We run small experiments with low risk and high learning. And we never build features for the sake of it - we solve problems.”

Working closely with customers and partners ensures the focus remains on the challenges that matter most.

“We constantly validate that the problem we’re solving is the real industry problem - not just the loudest idea. It’s all about creating the most value we can.”

Looking ahead: What excites Rasmus about the future?

There is plenty to look forward to, and Rasmus is particularly excited about the next generation of Delogue PLM.

“We’ve been working hard on a new version of Delogue for quite a while, and I’m excited to see it come to life.”

He explains that the new platform will offer a much more connected ecosystem, where brands, designers, and suppliers can collaborate seamlessly. At the same time, Delogue is introducing smoother and more flexible data integrations and more efficient workflows across items, styles, samples, and approvals.

Finally, the foundation of the system is being rebuilt with a scalable, future-proof data model designed for compliance, automation, AI, and advanced analytics - ensuring the platform supports the entire ecosystem for years to come.

A platform that evolves every day

To Rasmus, the mission is simple:

“It’s about evolving the product every day - always improving and always creating real value.”

Thank you to Rasmus for joining us on this month’s Inside Delogue. Stay tuned for the next chapter as we continue exploring the people behind the platform.
