A tech pack (technical package) is the document that tells a supplier exactly how to build a garment: measurements, materials, construction details, artwork and trims, all in one place. It travels with the style from first sample through to bulk production, so everyone works from the same version.
A tech pack brings together everything a factory needs to cut, sew and finish a style correctly. That typically means a technical drawing of the garment, a point of measure (PoM) page showing exactly where and how each measurement is taken, a measurement description and a How to Measure manual so the reciever can check quality consistently, plus the bill of materials (BOM) listing every fabric, trim and component. Colourways, artwork placement and construction notes usually sit alongside these.
A tech pack is only useful if it is accurate, because a single wrong measurement or missing callout gets multiplied across every size and every factory that receives it. Getting tech packs right reduces the costly sample and production mistakes that come from ambiguity, and gives reviewers a clear way to check that a sample or bulk shipment actually meets spec before it ships.
