Inside Delogue: Meet Serina, ESG Advisor

Welcome back to Inside Delogue - our monthly series where we introduce you to the people shaping Delogue and the direction of the platform.

This month, I sat down with Serina Slot Lauridsen, ESG Advisor at Delogue. Having been with Delogue for about a year and a half, Serina’s journey started in the communication team as an ESG intern, but it quickly became clear that her experience and perspective would play an important role in shaping how Delogue works with both communication and ESG.

Today, she helps brands navigate complex legislation while translating sustainability requirements into something practical for the fashion industry.

Bridging communication and industry understanding

For Serina, communication is about much more than simply sharing information. It’s about making sure Delogue speaks the same language as the industry it serves.

Having previously worked within fashion, she brings a perspective that helps bridge the gap between technology and the everyday reality of fashion brands.

“I really enjoy being part of shaping how we communicate as a company. It’s important that the way we speak to the industry feels relatable and human, rather than overly generic or distant.”

Serina Slot Lauridsen, ESG Advisor, Delogue

That industry familiarity plays an important role when creating communication that resonates with brands navigating increasingly complex challenges.

Turning ESG complexity into practical guidance

Alongside her work with communication, Serina spends much of her time advising customers on ESG-related topics.

With new regulations and reporting requirements emerging across Europe, the challenge is often not a lack of information - but making that information understandable and applicable.

“My role is to help translate legislation into something that actually makes sense for a fashion brand,” she says.

Serina focuses on breaking down regulations into practical guides that reflect how brands actually work. “Many companies are overwhelmed by ESG requirements because the language around them is very technical. Our goal is to translate that into something actionable and relevant for the industry.”

Why PLM data matters more than ever

One of the key insights Serina highlights is how closely ESG work is connected to the data already present in product development processes. At its core, Delogue is a PLM platform built around product data. And according to Serina, that data is becoming increasingly valuable in a regulatory landscape where transparency and traceability are essential.

“A lot of the data brands need for compliance already exists in their product development workflows. If you already have the data inside a platform, it makes sense to use it for both regulatory requirements and for product development”

Serina Slot Lauridsen, ESG Advisor, Delogue

This connection between product data and ESG reporting is one of the reasons Delogue can play a meaningful role in helping brands navigate the future.

Looking ahead: Delogue’s role in the ESG landscape

When asked about the future, Serina believes Delogue should continue building on what it already does best - while helping customers unlock the value of their existing data.

“I think our role is to stay focused on PLM and what we’re really good at,” she says.

“But at the same time, we can guide customers by showing them how the data they already have can support compliance and sustainability work.”

By combining product development workflows with ESG insights, Delogue can help brands simplify processes that are currently complex and fragmented.

For Serina, the goal is clear: keep learning, stay close to industry developments, and continue translating complexity into clarity.
