Delogue is excited to announce a new partnership with Borås Textilhögskola (The Swedish School of Textiles), marking an important step in our ongoing commitment to support modern, industry-aligned education within the fashion and textile sector. As part of Delogue’s academic program, the collaboration will bring PLM-driven learning into the classrooms of one of Scandinavia’s most renowned textile institutions.
The partnership centers on integrating Delogue PLM into the bachelor’s program Textile Product Development and Entrepreneurship, alongside selected courses in textile technology, textile management, and design. With this, students will gain hands-on experience in the digital workflows that shape today’s global fashion industry.
Digitising the next generation of product developers
For the Swedish School of Textiles, the decision to adopt a PLM platform reflects a shift away from traditional teaching methods. Historically, assortment planning, tech packs and workflow management were taught through more conventional tools and processes. But as Programme Manager Ahsan Shafiq explains, the industry’s rapid digitalisation required a new approach.
“Considering job-market requirements and the growing need to digitise product development, we began exploring PLM systems that could support project-based teaching. Delogue became the natural choice due to its strong compatibility with academic needs.”
Ahsan Shafiq, Lecturer & Program Manager at Swedish School of Textiles
By introducing Delogue PLM, the school aims to provide students with an environment that mirrors the way modern brands operate, complete with integrated communication, real-time collaboration and efficient style and sample management.
Enhancing student readiness for industry roles
The collaboration is set to create substantial value for students across several study tracks. Working with Delogue PLM during prototyping, collection developing and buying-related projects will allow students to graduate with direct experience using a digital tool widely adopted across the fashion and lifestyle sector.
“Learning a PLM software helps students develop and organise collections with integrated communication, which closely mimics real job-market routines.”
Ahsan Shafiq, Lecturer & Program Manager at Swedish School of Textiles
This experience ensures that graduates are familiar with the digital tools and structured workflows now expected across the fashion and textile industry.
Bringing academia and industry closer together
A core benefit of the partnership lies in strengthening the link between education and the workforce. According to Shafiq, adopting professional tools at the academic level not only elevates the learning environment but also supports smoother transitions into internships and full-time roles.
“This collaboration brings academia and the industry closer together. From an employer’s point of view, students who carry a skill set and an understanding of digital tools like Delogue will certainly add value to their operations.”
Ahsan Shafiq, Lecturer & Program Manager at Swedish School of Textiles
Through this partnership, Delogue and the Swedish School of Textiles reaffirm their commitment to equipping the next generation of fashion professionals with the skills, tools and insight needed to navigate an industry that is becoming more digital, more transparent and more collaborative.
